Dear Mrs. Retford,
Under the topic of Can you find the animal. We had no problem finding the Alligator and Gecco in the second and third pictures. We could not find the animal in the third picture so here are the guesses:
I broke them down into their groups:
1. Brown New Caterpiller
2. Baby caterpiller
3. Caterpiller on a stick
4. Inch Worm
5. Spider
6. Brown caterpiller
7. Baby brown inch worm
8. Inchworm
Teacher: Stick Insect
I couldn't find the 3rd animal either. Looks like a caterpillar is hungry.
Correct on the first two pictures, the alligator picture was taken on our way into Honey Island Swamp to do a collection or two. The second picture is an Anole. The Anole is a carnivore and lives in the swamp areas. The third picture is a Giant Walking Stick (Megaphasma dentricus) found on grapevines and oak. So Mr. Lacey you were probably the closest.
I cant find aligator and the Anole! :(
